does anyone know how lego did the protector masks/the drained golden masks? and can a 3d printer do that.
Lego uses injection moulding. To make blended parts they inject molten plastic of one colour at high pressure, followed by the second colour. I'm not sure if a 3D printer can achieve a similar effect.

pretty sure like 90% of LEGO is made with injection molding, but you can do cross coloring with 3D printers just well is a pain to do
do you know of any direct tutorials?
